international movement to create safe, convenient, and fun opportunities
for children to bicycle and walk to school. |
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is a nonprofit
organization working with communities to preserve unused rail
corridors by transforming them into trails, enhancing the health
of America's environment, economy, neighborhoods and people. |
How Eastern Kentucky University is moving
to support biking on campus with a bike rental program. |
GreenLex’s mission is to help make
Lexington-Fayette Urban County a “model green city” through
education, discussion and action. Our current projects
include the GreenLex.org website which includes links to
local "green" efforts, interactive maps, open discussion
boards, educational materials, and other useful web-based tools. |
The objectives of the Bluegrass Cycling Club
are to encourage bicycling for health, recreation and transportation,
to promote bicycle safety and to improve bicycling facilities;
and to further all phases of bicycling. |
KyMBA.org is the home of Kentucky mountain
biking. Here you can learn about the Kentucky mountain bike scene,
socialize with Kentucky mountain bikers, find out when rides
and races are held, join the club, and make life-long friends. |
Bikes Belong is the national coalition of
bicycle suppliers and retailers working together to put more
people on bicycles more often. Through national leadership, grassroots
grants, and promotion, we work to make bicycling safe, convenient,
and fun. |
Kybikerides.org is a repository of maps
and cue-sheets for Kentucky bicycle riders. It provides route
and map information, a climb profile and ride difficulty assessment.
This is a free service supported by Kentucky area volunteers.
The volunteers assume no responsibility for the suitability or
the safety of any particular ride. We are the home page for kentucky
cyclists seeking local cue/route sheets. |
