It is the mission of Madison County Greenways & Trails Inc. to assist the communities and local governments of Madison County in creating, developing, and maintaining a system of multi-use, non-motorized trails that will interconnect the people of our county to their homes, businesses, historic sites, churches, schools, parks, and other places.

Our intent is to promote healthier lifestyle choices through activities that include but are not limited to bicycling, skating, horseback riding, walking, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking.

Madison County Greenways & Trails Inc. has been incorporated as a 5019c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the code. We qualify to receive standout bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code. We are grateful to monetary support from Kentucky Rails to Trails Council and the pro bono work of Bill Gorton and Jenn Drust of Stites & Harbison of Lexington, Ky., for our corporate status.
